Chapter 17.5. SIGNS AND ADVERTISING DEVICES

§ 17.5-10. Temporary sign permits.

Temporary signs shall be allowed only upon the issuance of a temporary sign permit, which shall be subject to the following requirements:
(1)

Term. A temporary sign permit shall allow the use of a temporary sign for a specified 30-day period.

(2)

Number. Only one (1) temporary sign permit shall be issued to the same business license holder on the same zoned lot in any calendar year, except for governmental, civic or eleemosynary signage which is limited to one (1) sign per month for a maximum of ten (10) days in each period.

(3)

Application for approval of a temporary sign permit shall be made on the forms on file in the office of the city clerk and is approved or rejected by the director of public works. The applicant may appeal a decision of the director of public works to the board of adjustment.
